A common request for guidance among many of my clients is how to make more money.

Some people want more money so that they can buy a larger house, travel, leave their current career, or make other changes in their life.

Some of my clients have been questioning whether they should leave their current careers due to no longer feeling fulfilled, or because they feel conflicted about the direction their company or industry is headed. They are worried about leaving their careers for fear of making less money.

The guidance that I channel is always specific to the client I am working with, but the general message is always the same; it’s not about the money, it’s about manifesting the outcomes you believe the money will bring you.

For instance one of my clients is feeling called to leave the education system but is worried because she doesn’t want to make less money. She has been looking for careers and jobs that seem to pay the amount she feels she needs to make (at least the amount she is making now) and is feeling worried because none of the jobs that she is coming across through this research seems to be what she feels called to do.

When I connected to my guides they provided, yet again, simple but profound direction.

“Seek the joy. Put your intention and energy towards bringing in careers that will bring you joy rather than putting energy into trying to manifest a specific dollar amount.”

My guides have provided similar directions before. We believe that money is what will bring us joy and happiness because that is what we have been told by society. So we put our energy into looking for careers or things that will bring us the money we think we need to be happy, when in fact the universe can deliver the outcomes we are seeking (a joy-filled career with purpose, a comfortable life, more travel, etc.) through other avenues that aren’t always money dependent.

Money is a man-made construct that is used to “trade” but is also used for control. There is more than enough “money” in our world for everyone to live comfortably, but not everyone is living comfortably because we are focusing on money to bring us the happiness and joy we seek and because it is also controlled.

When we focus on and envision the life we want to live and ask the universe for guidance on how to attain this life, the universe will use all avenues available to deliver this to us.

When we put our energy into the belief system that money is what is keeping us from living the life we want, and following the pathways we believe will bring us more money, it can delay the delivery of the joy and happiness we seek. When we co-create with the universe the life we want to live, we allow the beauty and magic of the universe to deliver for us in ways we never even imagined.

My guides have used the example of a labyrinth to explain this and other concepts.

Think about this life as a labyrinth and we are surrounded by it. We can only see eye level around us and are trying to find our way through the labyrinth to the goals we seek; joy, happiness, love, relationships, careers, etc. Since we cannot see the pathways, we can make the same mistakes over and over trying to find our way and then get frustrated when we find ourselves stuck or repeating patterns.

Our higher selves, our guides, have a cosmic level multi-dimensional view of our reality. They see all potential realities in all dimensions so they can provide insight into whether the choices we are thinking about making will lead to joy or not. They see all paths within the labyrinth and the different realities each one could lead us to.

Since we live in a society that tells us to look outside of ourselves and to others for direction on how to live our lives and what choices to make, we revert to what we can see with our eyes as well as what we have been told by others (friends, family, education system, politics, Hollywood, etc.) will bring us happiness.

This means we typically believe that more money will bring us the joy we seek.

But over and over the guidance that comes through from my guides is to put our energy into manifesting the outcome we want versus manifesting more money to get there. Because the universe will use all avenues necessary to help us manifest a joy-filled, happy, and peaceful life. And sometimes that comes through monetary means, and sometimes it doesn’t.

By allowing the universe to use creativity to deliver for us instead of restricting the avenue to simply bringing in “more money”, we speed up the delivery of the outcomes we seek.
